Columbia County Health System Receives 2026 Commitment to Quality Award
Columbia County Health System has received the American Heart Association’s 2026 Commitment to Quality Award, recognizing our continued commitment to quality improvement across cardiovascular and stroke care.
The Commitment to Quality Award recognizes hospitals that use the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® program across multiple cardiovascular and stroke service lines and apply current, evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes.
This recognition follows four 2026 Get With The Guidelines® achievement awards earned by Columbia County Health System:
- Rural Stroke — Gold
- Rural Heart Failure — Gold
- Rural Coronary Artery Disease: STEMI — Bronze
- Rural Coronary Artery Disease: NSTE-ACS — Gold
Together, these awards led to CCHS receiving the broader Commitment to Quality Award.
This achievement was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of our Emergency Department, Laboratory, Imaging and Pharmacy staff. Each department plays an essential role in providing timely, coordinated care to patients experiencing stroke and cardiovascular emergencies.
In these situations, every minute matters. By consistently following evidence-based guidelines, communicating across departments and maintaining high standards of care, these teams help improve outcomes and save lives in our community.
We are grateful for their professionalism, attention to detail and continued commitment to the patients and communities we serve. Please join us in congratulating our Emergency Department, Laboratory, Imaging and Pharmacy teams on this well-deserved recognition.
