Charge Master

Columbia County Health System understands high deductibles and co-insurances mean patients are likely paying more out of their own pockets for health care services. We know that uncertainty about the financial side of receiving health care can be distressing, so we offer the following:

We have a published two versions of our chargemaster, which is our full price listing, available for patients to access. The chargemaster contains industry specific language and coding, that can make it confusing to navigate. Also, because the health plans negotiate the proprietary fee allowances used to process patient claims, the chargemaster does not accurately reflect or provide actual patient out-of-pocket costs. Nationally, on average, hospitals only receive 38% of their charges off of the chargemaster. For these reasons, we suggest instead contacting the Member/Customer Service Department at your health plan or other applicable insurer. They are the most knowledgeable and up-to-date about the status of benefits, eligibility, and contract rates. Their contact information can usually be found on the member identification card.

Columbia County Health System may update specific items within the chargemaster from time to time throughout the year. However, this published version is updated only once each year with an effective date of January 1st.

NOTE: If you are not a patient and you are accessing this chargemaster with intent to utilize the information herein for marketing/comparison purposes, please consider that such actions may be defined as highly non-compliant.
