Nutritious meals served to soothe the soul and regenerate the body: It is our goal in the dietary department at Dayton General Hospital and Booker Rest home to have the highest quality food with exceptional customer service. We strive to plan amazing meals that meet our patients’ individualized nutritional needs by using fresh, high quality ingredients. Our cooks take pride in preparing delicious meals for patients and café patrons.

Touchet River Café – The place with good taste! The Touchet River Café offers a variety of healthy food choices daily. Hot entrée selections, homemade soups, a fresh salad bar, and to-go sandwiches, wraps and salads are offered daily, 7:00 - 4:00.

Our dynamic dietary team does their utmost to prepare high quality nutritional food. We strive to have a positive work environment that encompasses personal growth, job satisfaction, creativity, empowerment and accountability. The dietary department is directed by a full-time Registered Dietitian and is staffed with a full-time dietary manager who takes pride in delivering the best customer service possible. Food, Family and Friends:  Guest meals are available for $4.00 for breakfast and $5.00 for lunch and dinner. Guests are always welcome to order from the café as well.

If a spouse or a family member of a patient in Booker Rest Home or Dayton General Hospital assists their loved ones at mealtime, the hospital offers a complimentary meal to encourage the patient’s intake and family interaction. Call Extension 506 or order at the Touchet Valley Café for entrée selections.

 

 


Dayton General Hospital was established in 1960 with the vision and mission of providing high quality healthcare to the local communities. We are a Public Hospital District with Critical Access Hospital, Level V Trauma Center, and Level III Cardiac and Stroke Center designations. Our primary service areas include Dayton, Waitsburg, Starbuck, and surrounding areas. More commonly known as Columbia County Health System, we are comprised of Columbia Family Clinic, Waitsburg Clinic, Booker Rest Home, and Dayton General Hospital. Our Rural Health Clinics are here for primary care and behavior health needs 6 days a week. We are staffed with 3 primary care medical doctors, a board certified emergency medicine doctor, a board certified pediatrician, and 3 mid-level family practice providers.  Our Emergency Department is staffed with our employed providers as well as partner physicians.
